10/27/11 Tristan Herbert captures the World Challenge Touring Car Rookie of the Year award as well as the Touring Car Crew of the Year award for their stellar season in 2011.
An impressive 4th place overall in the championship with one win, two seconds, two thirds and a fourth place, earned Herbert the
2011 Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car Rookie of the Year award.
3/27/11 Tristan Herbert captures the World Challenge Touring Car class victory, on the street course as part of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
Starting third, Tristan and Chip Herr, driving the No. 07 Grid 1 Motorsports Mazda RX-8, moved past polesitter Lawson Aschenbach at the standing start. Herbert moved past Herr on the third lap and onto the point, building a lead through the caution period. Herbert recovered from an incidental wave by and one lap penalty to move past Herr on lap 22, and then held off a charging Aschenbach’s No. 71 Compass360 Honda Civic Si to the checkered flag.
11/11/11 Tristan Herbert takes 1st place in the ITB VW GTI at the American Road Race of Champions at Road Atlanta.
Starting 1st on the grid, Tristan piloted the #33 ITB car to a hard earned 1st place in one of the most nationally competitive Improved Touring events in the country. The American Road Race of Champions featured at Road Atlanta is stop number 3 of the IT triple crown of club racing. Tristan had also secured a 1st place victory at stop two, the IT Fest at Mid-Ohio. Both of the thes races were in the middle of running a full World Challenge as well.
